Metrocrest Medical Foundation is fortunate that South & Western The Specialty Company in Addison has chosen MMF as their philanthropic choice. South & Western has been involved in philanthropy for many years and decided to "give back, reach out and help the community where many of their employees live".
Recently they called MMF to help identify a group of people who could benefit from a gift basket for the holiday season. MMF suggested their Lifeline Program clients. These are the clients who receive the emergency call system from Lifeline at no cost to them for as long as they need it, through fundraising efforts and donations to MMF. South & Western employees brought personal items and Presto Products donated additional items for these individuals and they were put in holiday decorated bags.
Staff from South & Western and MMF delivered Holiday bags to a very appreciative group of community residents on December. These people live on a fixed income and only leave their homes occasionally. They were excited to see happy faces delivering not only gift bags but words of cheer.
Metrocrest Medical Foundation is very fortunate to have wonderful partners such as South & Western in their mission enhances the quality of health care for people of all means within the communities they serve. Please visit their website www.mmftx.org or call the office at 972-247-0286 to learn about the many programs and opportunities within the community that you can help support.
