1st Quarter Grant to Denton County Friends of the Family

On September 27th, MMF Vice President, Rosie Kurtz, presented Denton County Friends of the Family with a check for $5,000.00 to assist with providing supportive services to those impacted by relationship violence and sexual assault.

1st Quarater Grant to AIDS Services of North Texas, Inc

On October 4th, Kyla Green, MMF board member and Grant Committee Chairperson,  presented Aids Services of North Texas, Inc. with a check for $20,727.00 to assist with laboratory exams and specialized medical care needed by their clients facing the challenges of living with HIV/AIDS. 1st Quarter grant to Senior Adult Services

On October 1st, MMF Board Member, Cinda Bowers, presented Senior Adult Services with a check for $20,727.00 assist with the cost for their Transportation Program that allows senior residents to get to doctors appointments and various medical treatments that they might otherwise miss due to not having transportation of their own. 1st Quarter grant to Special Care and Career Services

2nd Quarter Grants to Camp Summit

On December 11, 2007 Metrocrest Medical Foundation board member Cinda Bowers, of Town North Bank, presented Camp Summit with a check for $10,000.00 to assist with one nurse, one certified medication assistant, 2 AED units and holder, CRA-AED and first aid training for staff of 25, medical equipment, consumable medical supplies, and 5 two-way radios.

2nd Quarter Grant to Children's Advocacy Center

On December 7, 2007 Metrocrest Medical Foundation Board Vice President Rosie Kurtz and  Executive Director Cia Bond and present a check for $12,000.00 to Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County, Inc. to cover the salary of the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Coordinator.

2nd Quarter Grants to Christian Community Action

On December 6, 2007 Metrocrest Medical Foundation board treasurer Farooq Hemani, MMF Executive Director Cia Bond, and MMF staff member Jeannie Fritsche presented Christian Community Action in Lewisville with a check for $10,000.00 to be used to purchase and dispense prescription medication given free to CCA patients.

2nd Quarter Grant to The Bridge Breast Network

On December 11, 2007 Metrocrest Medical Foundation board member Kyla Green of Parkland Hospital HOMES presented The Bridge Breast Network with a check for $13,500.00 to provide breast cancer services to 40 individuals within the MMF service area.  Metrocrest Medical Foundation and The Bridge have an ongoing partnership, also, on MMF’s Mammogram Program.

2nd Quarter Grant to Jonathan's Place

On December 20, 2007 Metrocrest Medical Foundation board Vice President Rosie Salas Kurtz presented a check for $10,000.00 to Jonathan’s Place to support the salary for their Case Management Services.
